Brassery began as a collector's frustration. The nameplates available were almost all bright, mass-produced brass - a handful of sizes, little room to make them your own, and rarely worthy of the works they were meant to name. The search for something better led here.
Every plate begins as solid brass or aluminum - not plated, not printed. The patina is hand-worked into the metal, so the colour belongs to the plate rather than sitting on top of it. The lettering is laser-engraved for absolute precision - crisp, deeply contrasted, standing apart from the finish beneath. It is never paint or ink: on brass it is chemically blackened into the metal, on aluminum laser-fused to the surface. Neither can rub off. Choose from dozens of typefaces, corner ornaments, and separators to compose a plate that is entirely your own.

Not every plate needs to be brass. Flexibrass is engraving sheet - a finished surface bonded to a contrasting core - so the lettering is cut through to the layer beneath rather than laid on top of it. It will not tarnish and it will not wear off.
It is its own thing rather than an imitation of brass: clean, modern, and quietly precise. Where a patina would be too much, or where a plate simply needs to be right without being the loudest thing on the wall, this is the one to reach for.
